[12:30:06] Hi guys, could you please help me? I am looking for a quick way to check recent releases of the query/TextExtracts API. I believe that a release 1 or 2 days ago broke some of the functionality, and I'd like to contribute fixing it if possible. A couple of months ago, I vreated two bug reports for this API on Phabricator, but it seems the team is a [12:30:07] bit busy and my bugs are still not being worked on. However, the bug introduced yesterday seems more serious, so I think it should be addressed soon. [13:00:27] Soustruh: I don’t see any recent changes in https://github.com/wikimedia/mediawiki-extensions-TextExtracts/commits/master [13:26:47] Lucas_WMDE Oh, thanks for checking, that's strange. 😲 I also don't see any change in the text of this page: https://cs.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Ban%C3%A1n&action=history [13:26:48] However, the API: https://cs.wikipedia.org/w/api.php?action=query&format=json&prop=extracts&titles=Ban%C3%A1n&redirects=1&utf8=1&exintro=1&explaintext=1 [13:26:48] previously returned [13:26:49] "Banán je protáhlé žluté ovoce (nesladké druhy s vyšším obsahem škrobu (plantain) zelenina) a plod banánovníku (epigeická bobule). " [13:26:49] and so on, but now it returns: [13:26:50] "Banán a jeho řezBanány na banánovníkuBanán je protáhlé žluté ovoce (nesladké druhy s vyšším obsahem škrobu (plantain) zelenina) a plod banánovníku (epigeická bobule)." [13:26:50] The two extra phrases in the beginning are the titles of the first two images in the article. Does anybody have any clue on how to go around this please? [13:27:35] it might be due to a change in MediaWiki core, not sure [13:27:42] can you create a task on Phabricator? [13:33:54] Yeah, sure, I will, thanks for your help 🙂 [13:41:40] I hope this could get fixed soon, I already reported other two bugs about 3 months ago (https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T311051 and https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T310677), but those two seem a little more niche problems, so I understand their priority is lower. On the other hand, I came accross this "image title issue" on a dozens of pages [13:41:40] already (I will provide a list to the Phabrivator task if needed) [13:42:07] I hope this could get fixed soon, I already reported other two bugs about 3 months ago (https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T311051 and https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T310677), but those two seem a little more niche problems, so I understand their priority is lower.
