[00:02:09] Hello [13:31:16] Hai [15:57:24] Newbie, here. I have a new mediawiki instance I've created, and I have a lot of content from a blog. Most of that content is from newspaper clippings, primarily from newspapers.com. Wikipedia has a template for citing news, (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Template:Cite_news) and then there's this: [15:57:24] (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Newspapers.com). Should I import that template to my wikimedia instance? Is there a good manual for how to do that? [16:00:30] !exporttemplates [16:00:30] To copy templates from Wikipedia, use Special:Export and check the "Include templates" option to get all the sub-templates, then upload the file with Special:Import on your wiki. You'll also likely have to install the ParserFunctions extension, Scribunto extension and install/enable HTML tidy. You also might need some CSS from Wikipedia's Common.css. You'll also need a lot of... [16:00:46] You'll need to make sure you've got a few extensions installed too [16:33:50] yeah, you'll probably want TemplateStyles now too [18:55:33] Reedy, AntiComposite; thank you.
