[22:28:11] Hi all—does anyone familiar with the math extension know what might cause rendering to fail like so? The user that reported this is on Windows 7, with up to date Chrome and Firefox and is getting this issue on both. https://i.imghurr.com/e/5s7Q0m38cT.png [22:28:45] And manually setting the render mode to PNG did work, but this is suboptimal in my opinion. [22:31:45] My (shot in the dark) guess is that it's serving up mathml despite the user not having appropriate fonts, so maybe installing those would work—but you'd think MediaWiki would detect that and fallback to SVG instead... [22:58:49] it does [22:59:16] only problem is that's LaTeX not MathML [22:59:49] Right [22:59:49] which is supposed to be the alt text [22:59:58] for the broken images [23:00:00] oh, so maybe their SVG rendering bork? [23:27:08] perryprog, something like that. Can't really tell why an image is broken without at least being able to click on it and look for error messages. [23:28:30] Yeah, sadly that isn't an option here [23:30:06] https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maxwell%27s_equations#Formulation_in_SI_units_convention renders fine for me. [23:31:58] Didn't spot any open tickets that could be this either.
