[04:06:31] Hello there, can someone please tell why I'm getting the following notice and how to fix it? [04:06:32] PHP Notice: Undefined index: storeDirectory in /includes/cache/localisation/LocalisationCache.php on line 210 [04:06:32] Thank you [04:25:50] Sorry I got disconnected. My question was can someone help me with the following PHP notice? [04:25:50] PHP Notice: Undefined index: storeDirectory in /includes/cache/localisation/LocalisationCache.php on line 210 [04:25:51] Thank you [04:42:31] hello? [08:31:06] Hi, I want to ask about a failed CentralAuth installation. LocalSettings.php: https://su.thost3.de/LocalSettings_wiki.thost3.de.php/ (on my own pastebin). More details will be given on further mesages. [08:32:26] I just set up a wiki farm, and they can run seperately. But when I want to check my CentralAuth status, it always fails. According to the databse, non of the accounts are gobal accounts. [08:33:41] When I try to migrate my account (bureaucrat on meta.wiki.thost3.de) to global, it throws and error, as "the databse is broken". [08:34:07] if you are setting up a wikifarm from scratch, centralauth is really not recommended [08:35:13] But I want to use single sign-on, etc and have superuser control (steaward) to my wikis. Also, $wgSharedDB is deprecated. [08:35:27] $wgSharedDB wiki page: This deprecated feature should no longer be used, but is still available for reasons of backwards compatibility. This feature was deprecated in version 1.21.0. [08:39:08] But, hmm.... I think the superuser control to my wikis can be done via maintaience scripts... I am the only "steaward", lol. [08:40:44] sigh [08:51:42] > Deprecate $wgSharedDB in response to it accidentally being used in Wikidata. [08:51:55] looks like a totally valid reason to deprecate a feature [08:53:33] Oh I see, I can do single-sign-on just by cookie domains, etc. [08:53:53] Then let me say goodbye to CentralAuth! [09:10:06] $wgSharedDB + $wgSharedTables has always been the recommended way for most users in most use cases to set up a wiki farm-esque setup; CentralAuth really isn't and is somewhat WMF-specific [09:11:19] although I guess it tells you something that the deprecation commit is turning 10 years old later this year :) [09:11:49] but either way, it seems to me that it'd be a fine time to have a proper discussion about it in the proper venue(s) [09:12:40] deprecating a widely used feature that is *essential* to many third parties just like that is somewhat problematic, to say the least [09:19:08] I just found that I'm doing a silly job to apply the $wgSharedDB + $wgSharedTables changes: I'm reinstalling MediaWiki via pure command line + phpMyAdmin. [09:22:06] And then, after createAndPromote.php, I still cannot log in into any wikis in the family, lol. [09:23:45] My user is successfully created (checked via phpMyAdmin) and the password is correct... [09:24:19] And MediaWiki can see that user [09:30:05] Finally I set an email to my user and resetted it via the web interface. lol. [10:17:26] can anyone help me get start to work on task regarding the pywikibot [10:37:34] GOURINATH: pywikibot has a dedicated irc channel (#pywikibot) that might be a better place to ask
