[00:08:20] and then installing the StopForumSpam extension just pooches it all again. *sigh* [00:15:24] three installs of different distros... and still adding extensions to wikimedia just causes it to fail. Frustrating. [05:05:49] Is this wiki page outdated or something ? https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Help:HTML_in_wikitext [05:05:49] I came here earlier and I was told theĀ  tag couldn't be used in mediawiki, but here it says it can. I'm guessing that's only utilizing extensions ? [05:09:29] Personally I haven't been able to get it to work. I was able to get it to not show it in plain text like before, but it isn't parsing any of the css properties [15:13:20] is there a way to put the images dir somewhere else? i could mount a remote share, but is there another way? like a mw plugin that would load each image from a remote http maybe? but also take care that uploads are stored there? [15:34:09] Depends how you want to do it - the Foundation and others use OpenStack Swift for images, and there's support in core for Swift compatible backends. There's probably extensions to do EC2 etc as well [15:34:48] An NFS type share can also work, providing you appropriately tweak $wgUploadDirectory and $wgUploadPath (and the connections etc are fast enough to handle it) [15:40:50] S3* even. [16:28:57] reading swift docs, maybe it runs on a pi ;)
