[11:16:38] Dear colleagues, I would like to ask about parser, and about transclusion. [11:16:39] I made my own function. It takes &$text of wiki-page and makes some str_replace, preg_replace with that &$text. The function is called from ParserBeforeInternalParse hook, and it works good. [11:16:39] Now I tried to use transclusion. I see my hooked function does not work. The changes I need are not applicated to the wiki-text. [11:16:40] What am I doing wrong? How may I add a function to change the wiki-text both for common rendering and for rendering of transclusion? [11:16:40] Thank you. [11:18:25] In general, my aim was — to put LaTeX pages into MediaWiki, and to convert LaTeX commands into the templates on the fly. For example, \emph{sample} --> {{emph|sample}}. [12:33:28] sup ppls [12:33:59] been a while since i've been here [13:15:57] hi freakolowsky :) it sure has been a while! how have you been? [13:31:17] @ashley: well up to no good as usual ... still creating bugs. Had an issue with a wiki, came to ask a question, but i guess this channel has a rubber duck effect on me and found the answer before i could ask the question [13:38:30] hehe, nice :D much better than having a question, trying to find an answer and falling a rabbit hole of checking git history for the previous 10 years or so and only finding *more* rabbit holes to fall down :P [13:40:22] well i'm FINALLY migrating our farm off of Oracle, so debugging is much, much simpler [13:41:44] Dear colleagues, I would like to ask about parser, and about transclusion. Looking for short-term paid MediaWiki help: [16:23:50] • frontend hosted search integration (JS, no PHP) [16:23:50] • wikitext template creation [16:23:50] • HTML/CSS customisation [16:23:51] Fixed scope, modest self-funded budget. Email: dattanilotpal@gmail.com [16:27:04] PMZ: as the name suggests, that hook runs quite early in the parsing process. presumably you would need to use some other hook listed on https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Manual:Hooks, if what you're trying to do is even possible [17:14:58] ParserBeforeInternalParse hook runs quite early in the parsing process — but this cannot work for transclusion. What other hook may I use?
