[13:10:01] [url] Category:Mpuffjivivhooh - Miraheze Meta | meta.miraheze.org [13:10:50] [discord] I have decided to endorse the silly considering some people have been watching Apex do this for an awfully long time and he still gets away with it, so either I'm going to make light of it or I am going to treat it as a breach of Apex's terms [13:11:21] [discord] anyway, mappercraft had some nasty shit go down on the discord server, so I may be able to use that to address the mappercraft wiki once and for all [13:11:34] [discord] in fact I may end up supporting a community coup if the admin is who I think it is [13:11:47] Is anybody going to send Madeyousuffer a little message in regards to those block summaries made against 2 users on the `mappercraftwiki`? [13:13:21] [discord] Oh yeah, raidarr already responded here. I didn't really need to repeat myself here. 😛 [13:23:06] [discord] ok, got a little more background on the wiki; its blocks would no doubt frustrate doug quite a lot since they're based on wiki and/or discord actions more than the wiki itself [13:23:59] [discord] in this case what I'm getting is that the blocking admin used the word 'pedo' as a way to denounce someone for less serious but still inappropriate activity on the server/in the community, either way resulting in their expulsion on the wiki [13:37:51] [discord] I did leave a message for the blocking administrator asking him what his thought process was for those irrational (or rather unfounded) block summaries. [13:38:35] [discord] Because I have yet to see any evidence to back that up. [13:38:42] [discord] I've been discussing it with both mappercraft server staff and wiki operators [13:39:06] [discord] 'pedophile' was not literal, it was an edgy reason to say 'you're undesirable, stay away' [13:39:18] [discord] and the charge from what I understand is that the two users were involved in doxxing [13:39:50] [discord] I've been working out an arrangement to make the block reason accurate to why it was made [13:39:58] [discord] Doxxing?! Now that's more than just messed up. It's outrageous in any aspect of the word. [13:40:38] [discord] this gets into a dangerous part of Miraheze as a platform where Miraheze is not used as a destination where we have all of the answers or are in a position to oversee clearly [13:40:59] [discord] instead the Miraheze wiki is just an ancillary to a community that is within minecraft and discord [13:41:27] [discord] in this case I would rather not intervene and force them to give all the context and prove it; frankly from a priority perspective it wouldn't get us much more than time that could have been spent resolving other things [13:42:01] [discord] Yeah, I have no doubt Doug will see the block log entries, and I share my exact same frustration as he does. [13:42:55] [discord] we simply do not have the volunteering power to micromanage every instance where local best practices are informal, awful, etc; I'm sure Doug would be inclined to intervene and he may even do so, but I would either way disagree with the merits of doing so unless an issue is brought to us from within the community and not just us global observers getting into situations which we do not understand and gain little from [13:43:28] [discord] Fair enough. [16:54:36] [discord] alright, I think it's time for apextest to be treated as a circumventing sockpuppet by meta administrators which has clearly gone past its original expressed use [16:55:09] [discord] What has ApexTest done? [16:55:35] [discord] I'm considering a final warning from a global perspective as well since apex is just ignoring advisory and adding irrelevant categories, and tbh I barely understand the value of keeping that account [16:56:35] [discord] it's not, as ever, anything individually - it's just continuing the useless edits and not using the alt account for legitimate purpose in spite of the standing block via main account that required secondary review to modify/lift [16:57:46] [discord] cc @ApexAgunomu as an involved party to see this, muted or not as a caution regardless of what consequences happen here [16:57:51] [discord] [[Special:Block]] [16:57:51] https://meta.miraheze.org/wiki/Special:Block [16:57:52] [discord] [16:57:53] [url] Permission error - Miraheze Meta | meta.miraheze.org [16:59:25] [discord] it would be exceptionally nice to see doug around today to discuss a couple things that have sat for much too long [17:00:02] [discord] I spoke with him yesterday so I’m sure he’ll be here today [17:00:11] [discord] Or rather, I spoke with him today actually [17:52:52] [discord] I had originally made the ApexTest account to test with on public test wiki, but really haven't used it for that much. [17:54:13] [discord] maybe it should be locked so I don't get into any more trouble with it. If I really end up needing a test account I can make a new account. [18:25:02] [discord] @Doug / dmehus You around today? [19:40:53] [discord] Btw, what do you need a test account for? [19:41:13] [discord] What exactly do you intend to test? [20:57:50] [discord] Looks who has come back to cause problems for the CLG Wiki again: Chuck Quenano! (https://closinglogosgroup.miraheze.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/Movie_Logoz_Time_Again) They have created a slew of sockpuppets in recent days, including Fuzzy Logo Time (https://closinglogosgroup.miraheze.org/wiki/User:Fuzzy_Logo_Time), Movie Logoz Time (https://closinglogosgroup.miraheze.org/wiki/User:Movie_Logoz_Time), Jayde [20:57:51] [url] User contributions for Movie Logoz Time Again - CLG Wiki | closinglogosgroup.miraheze.org [20:57:53] [url] User:Fuzzy Logo Time - CLG Wiki | closinglogosgroup.miraheze.org [20:57:55] [url] User:Movie Logoz Time - CLG Wiki | closinglogosgroup.miraheze.org [20:58:47] [discord] CLG Wiki's User Reports page should have the evidence for all of these being Chuck socks. https://closinglogosgroup.miraheze.org/wiki/CLG_Wiki:User_Reports [20:58:50] [url] CLG Wiki:User Reports - CLG Wiki | closinglogosgroup.miraheze.org [21:07:09] [discord] And if you needed more evidence that MLTA is Chuck, the account is editing some of the same pages other sockpuppets of his have edited before, like Sliver Ant (https://closinglogosgroup.miraheze.org/w/index.php?title=Sliver_Ant&action=history) and PictureWorks (https://closinglogosgroup.miraheze.org/w/index.php?title=PictureWorks&action=history) [21:07:10] [url] Revision history of "Sliver Ant" - CLG Wiki | closinglogosgroup.miraheze.org [21:07:11] [url] Revision history of "PictureWorks" - CLG Wiki | closinglogosgroup.miraheze.org [21:17:18] [discord] Coincidentally, I was thinking about reporting these accounts some time ago, but I was either too tired, or didn't get the motivation at the time to make the reports happen. [23:33:19] [discord] motivation to report an LTA? [23:46:34] [discord] No. Just that particular report.
