[09:56:29] [1/6] @bosco9378wiki fyi about https://meta.miraheze.org/wiki/Requests_for_global_permissions?curid=13603&diff=523832&oldid=521103 this user has definitely crossed the barrier for good faith: [09:56:29] [2/6] 1. pinged several roles for no reason [09:56:29] [3/6] 2. sent friend requests to multiple users to solicit for wiki reviewing [09:56:30] [4/6] 3. was told by myself to await review and that human review can take up to 3 days [09:56:30] [5/6] 4. sent an email to tech@ asking for a review [09:56:30] [6/6] 5. asked the same at help desk before making an edit at RfGP [09:59:50] the events happened in that order so they're perfectly aware that they should wait but still refuse to do so [10:24:19] it is now declined so we'll see what that incurs [18:47:36] update: i was going to send out a straightforward steward request but this situation has greatly escalated [18:51:47] Have you emailed or documented the request anywhere outside this channel? We need details to act effectively and we have very few stewards [18:52:42] i havent emailed nor documented the request, i am currently building a large case in a google doc and present that to stewards that list everything that this particular individual has done that myself and a few of the wiki staff have managed to intercept [18:54:41] While appreciated, we don't need a big case, just give us the details and we'll get them gone. [18:54:50] Send what you have, please. šŸ™‚ [18:57:45] [1/5] There is an individual going by the name of ||Igi Senderek (covered since this may be his real identity)|| who has attempted to vandalize the FTM Wiki since January 9, 2026. He has multiple accounts going by multiple different names and various IP addresses tagged to his location (which i wont reveal here), and has violated several things in the terms of service, including impersona [18:57:45] [2/5] ting my old Fandom account. This is just a sample of the many alts he has in his posessesion: [18:57:45] [3/5] [18:57:46] [4/5] [18:57:46] [5/5] [18:58:57] You don't need to go into this further, we'd prefer email for involved cases vs dumping in the CVT channel [18:59:01] okay [18:59:06] I have what I need to proceed [18:59:25] But more details to the email would be appreciated [18:59:49] yeah sure thing, do you also want me to list all of his accounts that are linked to that individual? [18:59:56] Yes please, but not here [19:00:00] alr [19:12:45] Ranges hit and accounts locked, please let us know if we missed any/if issues persist [19:13:17] Looks like it was 24 in total [19:13:21] WHAT. [19:13:25] wow thats a lot [19:13:45] Eh, we’ve had worst I think [19:13:50] Oh absolutely [19:13:52] Yeah definitely [19:14:00] [1/2] huh. [19:14:00] [2/2] whats the worst yall have seen [19:14:02] That did not take a lot of mental digging lol [19:14:30] il still sent the email [19:14:52] tysm notaracham this guy has plagued our wiki for months now [19:15:31] Happy to help, sorry it took a bit to get someone with access to do the thing. šŸ™ [19:16:57] I don’t know about worst (I also don’t investigate this stuff like NA does) but there is one chap who comes to mind who’ve we’ve been routinely removing for a good while [19:17:59] we will see if he ever comes back [19:18:09] its an global ip lock im assuming? [19:18:17] Range block I’d guess [19:18:39] Since single IP blocks are easy to bypass, we block ranges, size can depend [19:18:44] well he might find a way to bypass it, and i already sent the stewards more details on their email stating that he is a cross wiki vandal [19:19:36] Yeah, rangeblocks only do so much against persistent idiots, but we'll be here to swat down more ranges as needed [19:19:45] alr [19:20:31] The accounts themselves are locked for good though, and will not be able to get up to more mischief [19:20:39] If the ranges he was using were VPNs or proxies, it also just gets more difficult to continue as the Google results of free vpn dry up [19:20:51] his ip address was tagged to one geolocation [19:21:11] so this should put and end to that mess once and for all [19:21:21] Let’s see [19:21:49] I didn’t dig too much into the IPs you sent me before, I recall they weren’t all the exact same range but I may be still under the same ISP [19:23:16] but you do know they share the same common editing behaviour as those accounts [19:23:55] ? [19:24:28] if you click on the (diff) on the pages linked with those ip addresses you can see some of the common editing behaviours that are linked to those accounts [19:24:42] Don’t think there was any doubt that they were connected [19:25:37] oh nvm notaracham also covered those too [19:26:33] Yup [19:27:12] as the kids say [19:27:14] cooked [19:31:31] yeah
