[03:05:58] https://fischipedia.org/wiki/User:Hi_i_am_cool alt acc of a guy that got blocked. made it just to spam doxx threats for getting blocked lol [04:00:54] Doxxing threats? Oof, the doxxing threat should've been reported through either TSPortal or through email. [04:03:56] @CVT Through [this abuse log,](https://fischipedia.org/wiki/Special:AbuseLog/9597) there's definitely some evidence of GCP (Global Conduct Policy) violations. ^ [06:52:39] @CVT https://notbyliewiki.miraheze.org/wiki/%D0%A1%D0%BB%D1%83%D0%B6%D0%B5%D0%B1%D0%BD%D0%B0%D1%8F:%D0%A1%D0%B2%D0%B5%D0%B6%D0%B8%D0%B5_%D0%BF%D1%80%D0%B0%D0%B2%D0%BA%D0%B8?days=180&enhanced=1&hidebots=1&limit=1000&translations=filter&urlversion=2 IPs removing contents [07:03:40] At this point they should strongly consider anon editing. [07:04:15] This is not worth chasing from a global enforcement perspective after a cursory glance. [10:59:23] [1/2] https://meta.miraheze.org/wiki/User:Officiallocalpageuk [10:59:23] [2/2] spammmmmm [14:34:29] I actually agree with what you've said. That's why I have anonymous editing disabled on all of my wikis that I have created on this wiki farm. [17:22:55] i believe anom editing allows for bad actors to get in and break stuff, especially if they have an proxy that haven't been blocked by mh yet [18:07:34] only really a problem if you don't have effective moderation [18:24:37] I've seen an equal amount of good and bad anonymous actors. The only reason I'd want to turn off anon editing would be for privacy reasons; some just edit straight from their IP without a VPN, which isn't ideal. [19:06:22] yeah, pretty sure creating temp accounts prevents this from happening too [21:59:08] I've went through the abuse logs from that account, and yeah, that account looks like a VOA, in addition to some Global Conduct Policy violations too. ^ [22:01:49] Yeah thats good, wasnt really sure how and if I could report it. The guy just made 3 copy pasta edits then gave up lmao. [22:02:21] However, I can't lock the account, as I'm not a Global Administrator or a Steward. [22:04:58] Probably the best thing to do in any case. [22:17:51] I doubt its anything major, the account was just made so they could let off a little steam. I was mainly hoping for a way to completely block their IP so they cant make alts again. Im pretty sure blocking does this automatically for a day or so but it didnt work in this case [22:18:08] likely used a separate device or vpn [22:19:38] Yep, you'd be right.
