[00:50:28] This theme request is very strange. maybe it will change [03:33:10] @城市酸儒文人挖坑 Talk abt it here. [09:47:39] @城市酸儒文人挖坑, to respond to your post in what's probably the best place here, I see no technical feasibility in MediaWiki to perform geographically based censorship, nor frankly would I want to encourage it anyway. The inabity to directly criticize the government is unacceptable to me, particularly when its decisions, in my mind, often clearly deserve it. Our policies exist to minimize certain issues and at [09:47:39] times, Miraheze will perform an arguable degree of censorship to achieve this. To appeal to China, however, takes both the technical and content requirements of this to another level. I do see a significant portion of what you're saying and in context it is reasonable, but I ask you to consider the cultural ramifications of what you are asking in context of 'western' countries (US and UK, UK being the host). I can also see how the [09:47:40] system employed in China these days is more appealing than the raw chaos that prevailed in the World War 2 period and many many years before, but I think that's a much more nuanced consideration than you're giving it - what happened before lead to the modern context, and what did happen before and for many years after I find unacceptable from governments. I believe I see where you are coming from, but I hope to appeal to the cultural [09:47:40] differences that make what you're requesting unacceptable to the primary audience of Miraheze. I can reconsider my position when China properly moves in the direction you are saying, and I do see elements of it. Just not far enough.
