[17:46:47] [discord] Also, I might be biased as an EU citizen but I think don't think it's good that Labour doesn't want to rejoin the single market/Swiss-like deal [17:47:11] [discord] After all from what I've seen the polls indicate that most Labour voters think Brexit is a mistake/would rejoin, and the single market is quite minimal [17:47:31] [discord] and I mean even Turkey is in the EU customs union [17:49:13] [discord] After all from what I've seen the polls indicate that most Labour voters think Brexit is a mistake/would rejoin (edited) [17:57:26] [discord] @NotAracham congrats [18:06:22] [discord] i second this. congrats!🎉 [19:48:16] [discord] I do. I support the full thing or nothing. Single market means we wouldn’t have a say because we wouldn’t be in the eu. Secondly if during a campaign the euro isn’t sorted so we can have the opt out again, it’d change my mind against rejoining. [19:51:04] [discord] Fair enough, though I don't see how the NI protocol mess is going to ever be solved. After all it's been tried since like 2018 and no good solution was found [19:52:21] [discord] As for the euro yeah, that might be tricky... Though many countries without a formal opt-out haven't join the Euro because they didn't want to [19:53:17] [discord] but yeah it is definitely true that the main disadvantage with single market but not EU is that the countries don't get a say in the rules being made, so it's definitely not ideal [21:09:05] [discord] Won't somebody think of ~~the children~~ Gibraltar? 😛
