[05:42:09] Hey howdy, sorry to ask but how can I get my wikis database name? I've gotten the wiki started and I'm trying to port it over from Fandom. [05:44:40] It’s wiki [05:44:49] so meta.miraheze.org is metawiki [05:44:58] <_chrs_, replying to jackarothetanuki> in your case it's ⁨`supermariothecatastropheswiki`⁩ (assuming you're using the same username) [05:45:13] [1/2] Alright [05:45:14] [2/2] Lemme try this again cuz last time it said it wasnt valid [05:45:37] yeah it still says its not a valid database name [05:45:46] You can go to `Special:ManageWiki` and check it in there [05:47:31] It's at the very top, greyed out bc you can't edit it [19:50:18] IT WAS CASE SENSITIVE IM SO FUCKING DUMB [19:50:19] @jackarothetanuki Watch your language. [19:50:25] :crying: [19:59:51] :honamipat: [20:00:02] Happens to the best of us [20:35:46] @paladox do you need any help? [20:36:00] No, it's only monitoring for some reason [20:36:09] the ips all work including resolving hostnames [20:36:20] no service impact as meta loads [20:36:40] @paladox there was service impavt [20:36:46] That's why I said stop [20:36:52] We had 5XX errors on meta [20:36:56] At the same time [20:37:01] oh ok [20:37:08] it's all loading for me [20:37:15] It looks back now [20:37:21] But we did have service impact [20:37:34] For about a minute or so [20:37:39] must have been the daily outage [20:38:16] Extremely co-incidental [20:38:22] If it was [20:39:07] Please be careful with networking [20:48:48] @rhinosf1 when you say there was an outage, did you physically experence or just saw icinga? [20:49:20] I experienced 5XX errors [20:49:24] Actually browsing wikis [20:49:25] ah ok [20:49:34] That was my first trigger not icinga [20:50:07] was gonna say if it was icinga it was because we were using a broken ip config for the new network config but ok [20:50:16] so i'm gonna say that's the daily outage we've been having [22:38:54] @pskyechology ping [22:39:23] do i have to post https://nohello.net lol [22:40:43] Oh, sorry, I still have the habit from the other community.... :EpicFaceMH: 🤣 [22:42:06] From phorge, I'm not sure if I understood correctly. What I want to do is delete the articles that are in those namespaces, but I don't want to delete the namespace itself, just the articles hosted there, without moving them or anything like that. [22:43:49] [1/2] pretty sure you can't even delete the main namespace, I wouldn't want to try anyway [22:43:50] [2/2] the nukeNS script deletes all pages in a namespace [22:47:20] Yes! right 🙂 [23:50:46] [1/3] https://meta.miraheze.org/wiki/?diff=515116&oldid=515115 [23:50:47] [2/3] I was going to make my protection levels edit like this but then I realised I'm not 100% sure that's accurate so I stuck with just the things I know. The documentation for ⁨`wgRestrictionLevels`⁩ doesn't at all mention ⁨`wgAvailableRights`⁩ or anything similar so I'm wondering if having an available right is anything but a best practice, and if it affects ManageWiki at all. Wou [23:50:47] [3/3] ld appreciate if anyone could confirm or deny anything I've said [23:52:16] this is probably the one time where removing the embed was a bad idea [23:53:57] ManageWiki uses wgAvailableRights to check which rights can be assigned iirc [23:58:26] I'm not actually quite sure what wgAvailableRights is used for in core, not behind a computer rn now either so won't bother rn
