[13:12:23] @posix_memalign don't forgot https://meta.miraheze.org/wiki/Miraheze_Monthly#Entries 👀, just updated it [13:19:45] Awesome. Thanks! [13:20:06] adding a new experiment seeing if it works [13:20:12] https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/1225560610628964423/1522955188590346260/10A353B4-361A-4889-B5AD-B3D66E2A61DA.png?ex=6a4a5a0c&is=6a49088c&hm=18450dac968e23583ad9256de8aed6ab7101d84800f182a86f9179c7c2ea6dc3& [13:20:25] since it feels like if you put every entry in there it will flood [13:20:33] so it might be better to like, catagorize them in years [13:21:47] I think making it 2 columns might be a better solution. Idk. Maybe ask for feedback from others in this channel as well. [13:22:16] [1/2] looks pretty neat now [13:22:16] [2/2] https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/1225560610628964423/1522955707291402310/6FDA26D2-DF18-4AE4-82D9-8F73C557DA47.png?ex=6a4a5a87&is=6a490907&hm=4ebceafb6e00c955b8ea0e55ea8df891bdd1e1b63ff984622905aad8987622ad& [13:22:33] but feel free to revert if you don't like it, applies to @raidarr too since he's the founder [13:24:50] oh it's the 11th aniv for miraheze this month? didn't know [13:25:03] i guess it's time to bring out the cake and candles again [13:49:44] [1/8] Hey, I just finished the current build after putting around 80 hours into the game, and I wanted to say first: I genuinely enjoyed it. Even with the bugs and unfinished areas, this is probably one of the best adult games I’ve played, mostly because it actually feels like a real game with systems, exploration, progression, and atmosphere. [13:49:44] [2/8] I also wanted to offer something, if the dev team is ever interested. [13:49:45] [3/8] I’m a published writer with five books out, including a novel, and I’ve also written for other indie/game developers before. Writing is one of my strongest skills, especially character voice, tone, immersion, and making scenes feel more emotionally effective. [13:49:45] [4/8] While playing, I noticed a few places where the writing could be stronger, especially in the first-person/second-person text. For example, some lines refer to the protagonist as “the player,” which can break immersion during intimate or intense scenes. In those moments, it usually works better to speak directly to the character/player as “you,” so the scene feels immediate inste [13:49:45] [5/8] ad of detached. [13:49:46] [6/8] I think the game already has a strong foundation, but I’d be happy to help polish dialogue, quest text, scene descriptions, defeat text, pregnancy/craving text, NPC lines, or any content where the goal is to make the player feel more immersed in what’s happening to their character. [13:49:46] [7/8] I’m not trying to complain or insult the current writing. I’m offering because I like the game and I think I could help make some of those moments hit harder emotionally. If the team ever wants help with writing, editing, rewriting rough text, or even giving me a small trial scene to polish, I’d be happy to contribute. [13:49:46] [8/8] I’ve finished the current content and I’m looking forward to future updates. The game has a lot of potential, and I’d love to help improve the writing side if that’s useful. [13:50:19] I think you might be in the wrong server for this [13:52:39] Oh... Which... Wicked Island? [13:53:03] I have no idea what Wicked Island is [13:53:37] Oh okay sorry. [14:35:48] you're in Miraheze Discord server btw [14:36:01] if this is a playtest report you should delete [14:36:17] as most playtesters have to agree basically an equivilant of an NDA [14:37:01] and most developers don't appreciate playtest gameplay contents being leaked [14:38:33] oh they left the server [14:39:01] @Discord Moderators if you guys want to delete this message to help preserve their confidentiality i suppose [14:46:26] Since the user left the server and it did seem like a playtest, I deleted it [14:48:09] thanks recept [14:48:38] also you should remove the director in your bio, since you're unfortunately no longer one [14:58:03] Will do, didn't even realize I still had it [14:58:12] I removed it from my userpage a while ago [14:58:27] nws, we're humans and we forget [14:58:58] i doubt people would remember miraheze from 11 years ago... [15:04:55] [1/2] wait...now i wonder [15:04:55] [2/2] how was miraheze 11 years ago [15:12:54] Reception and Labster are from that era. IIRC one thing Labster mentioned is that in the early days, extension installation must be done through a GitHub PR because ManageWiki didn't exist back then. [15:15:19] that seems workload hell for tech considering miraheze's size now [16:19:29] with miraheze's size back then it was probably manageable though [16:20:03] but once it got bigger, i assume that's how ManageWiki was born [17:12:20] [1/2] https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/1225560610628964423/1523013607967821894/image.jpg?ex=6a4a9074&is=6a493ef4&hm=d997db8fe717ef7833d2d6c126e9370ae2cc1f462bd3029440052ad4a7109785& [17:12:21] [2/2] https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/1225560610628964423/1523013608286716054/image.jpg?ex=6a4a9074&is=6a493ef4&hm=1813334d3f4fd408137f2d052d99e9434d12e3d10abb7868b088a853f834c27a& [17:21:45] @Discord Moderators [18:46:02] I don't think size was the main factor tbh [18:55:08] what was the main factor then [18:55:23] helping crats to have changes faster? [19:07:02] Better user experience [20:48:45] I agree two column is snazzier and will age better, but the approach looks good to me
