[22:30:18] Fascinating [22:31:17] First of all, 100% agree that this is one that should be deferred and ask steward opinion on [22:34:01] It’s a very weird grey area, looking at the content policy through a very literal textual reading it’s not a definitive no, and we specifically allow “Limited fundraiser sales through your wiki to support the wiki's goals” [22:34:26] But that’s never been applied to a case where something is being granted in exchange for money, especially not access [22:38:24] I’d probably say decline with notice that we can accommodate the wiki if it’s public/not pay to read [22:38:56] But I’m also iffy on that because, they could just keep it private and then conduct the same business but a bit more underhanded [23:00:58] In fact, we have shut down several pay-for-access schemes [23:01:59] This one seems less directly a pay scheme, but not something we can accomodate.
