[08:20:12] @Agent: if yellow Frogger needs a (partial) block then ping me [10:31:05] So here's an odd topic, there isn't anything against a Miraheze wiki being focused on and including pornographic content, is there? (focus including wikis that have other stuff but also a high chance of ending on a page with smuttiness through navigation or Random Page). I vaguely believe there needs to be some diligence with content warnings and obviously there is a bar that is too far (underage pornography is explicitly cut [10:31:05] through the Content Policy), but I'm not sure where the line is drawn exactly. [10:32:06] Ie, a wiki that takes a unicyclopedia appearance and vaguely mentions that there can be pornographic content, but by the above examples you can just click through to or Random Page your way into graphic images. [10:42:43] js page blur script [10:43:00] although I think it's silly [10:43:27] I think a warning placed somewhere on sidebar would be enough [11:01:04] @raidarr it’s generally been held in the past (before Miraheze Limited came in) that there shouldn’t be anything on the main page of that sort, and a prominent notice should be accessible on that page. There’s no strict requirements that need to be followed, but I am going to be spending some time over the next months to try and make it easier to provide some clear guidance and hopefully software level tools to assist communities [11:01:05] as the UK are always umming and ahing over introducing legislative requirements on non-pornographic service providers [11:02:25] I was thinking with the UK especially there's a few clouds on the horizon regarding the 'wild west' wiki with unclear structure on this. Thank you. [11:04:56] It’s been like it for years, the Age Verify laws got dropped after 2 years of delaying the legislation, it’s just one of those areas that everyone wants to improve the safety of but they don’t want to write the laws because it might make them unpopular [11:05:48] I assume it's mainly privacy brought up as the primary counterpoint that shuts them down. [11:06:05] There was a white paper released about a year ago that I might analyse to influence how ‘internal’ compliance goes, but wikis won’t be left alone and in the dark over it - if there’s a requirement for something to happen, it’ll be standardised and handed down at the software level [11:06:28] Yeah, right to a private life essentially was always the argument [11:08:59] Not to press for personal information and feel free to decline if you think so, but what do you think about the merits of the legislation that's been attempted? [11:22:46] I've not really reviewed the legislation in detail before around pornographic content - as it never would really apply to us. Age Verify systems in the UK started out but have declined in popularity because it's mostly a trust issue with the providers. There's probably better ways to handle it that the Government have missed out on on [11:29:21] There typically is tbh, but good luck on consensus for that :p [11:29:38] And of course what one person considers better another will pluck new issues from. [13:37:17] isn't yellowFrogger that guy from the bus wiki or something? [13:49:01] RhinoF1: will do, thank you :) [13:49:47] He hasn't done anything disruptive but has expressed his frustration for the slow response time from Stewards. He even added a section to the "Comparing Miraheze and Fandom" page where he said Stewards were slow [13:49:58] but for now, I think it's fine, he seems to have calmed down [14:15:07] Ok [14:15:14] He seemed annoying [14:15:18] On your talk [14:29:16] Bus wikis, yes. He wants to be interwiki admin on them and hasn't gotten much of a response, and assumed Agent Iasi was a steward playing coy with him. [15:22:08] wwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww [15:22:09] oops [15:22:17] so true [15:22:25] LOL [15:22:37] .wish [15:22:39] .wish hi [15:22:42] .commands [15:22:44] .help [15:22:44] Bongo-Cat: I've published a list of my commands at: https://sopel.mirahezebots.org/help_prod.html [15:22:59] .tell hi [15:23:12] asd [15:23:44] * Bongo-Cat wishes he wasnt in class rn [15:23:52] ? [15:39:21] Command sent from Discord by Cocopuff2018: [15:39:21] .tell @RhinosF1 will my task request been done soon? [15:39:25] MH-Discord: I'll pass that on when RhinosF1 is around. [18:10:23] by the way [18:10:41] is there a way where I can see exactly the days left for a wiki to be eligible for adoption? [18:10:50] I think I'll adopt one for the first time [19:16:17] Is it already closed? I'm afraid that's a good question if it's in the 'inactive' stage, where in the 15 isn't clear at a glance or via managewiki log [19:16:37] Though you could do the 'local election' process, which would reasonably set you out by 7 days [19:17:14] Generally, I go into Recent Changes and count how many days have passed
