[17:37:57] [discord] I suggested an edit on https://massivestardatabase.miraheze.org/ that required access to ManageWiki, and was made bureaucrat so I could make the edit myself. Now that it's been done I don't have any need for the bureaucrat role. I see that only Stewards can remove it. I've been looking at many pages about this, such as https://mediawiki.org/wiki/Improving_URL_citations_on_Wikimedia and https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Help:Citation_tools [18:02:52] https://meta.miraheze.org/wiki/Template:cite_web_.... [18:02:53] [wikipedia] Help:Citation tools | "The following tools can help you assemble a citation from limited information, with limited effort. These are tools with a variety of interfaces that provide a complete formatted reference based on a few initial details." [18:02:53] [url] Improving URL citations on Wikimedia - MediaWiki | mediawiki.org [18:03:56] I posted a page on a wiki with many dozens of citations, and I started manually trying to fill in the titles of each of the web pages, but I stopped to try to find a way to automate updating the information so I don't have to manually do it. [18:04:13] We don't offer Citoid because it had so low use [18:16:48] Citoid seriously has to be reconsidered when it's time. [18:18:38] If enough interest is shown then perhaps but at time of removal, very, very little use was shown [18:20:40] I am still learning, but it seems (based on the descriptions) that Citoid is similar to the RefToolbar gadget. Right? [18:51:01] Hello SynomanBarris! If you have any questions, feel free to ask and someone should answer soon. [18:55:31] Hello, recently I submitted a task to create an extra protection level on my wiki on phabricator. Since this request may not be that complex and anyone can do it, is there a way to create a patch like it's done on Gerrit at Wikimedia here on miraheze. Thanks [19:00:35] [discord] SynomanBarris: https://github.com/miraheze/mw-config/blob/master/LocalSettings.php [19:00:36] [url] mw-config/LocalSettings.php at master · miraheze/mw-config · GitHub | github.com [19:00:43] [discord] there's our LocalSettings.php [19:02:52] Thanks [19:31:07] ryzenda: RefToolbar is entirely different from Citoid, although RefToolbar is using Citoid for auto citation, (that's its job after all)
