[06:42:14] [discord] If I create a template that simply lays out a table for a user, that user can then fill in data in the table right? Like I don't have to worry about the template itself mirroring things to other pages that use the template? [06:42:32] [discord] Sorry if this is a silly question, just want to make sure I understand how templates actually work [06:43:08] [discord] If I create a template that simply lays out a table for a user, that user can then fill in data in the table right? (edited) [06:45:51] [discord] I'm not actually sure I can use templates like this- I know certain extensions exist to prefill pages with wikitext which might be the proper solution for this [07:05:37] [discord] well, input box lets you set up an article creation link w/ pre-loaded content [07:06:02] [discord] regarding templates and tables - in VE user will still going to fill a template [07:06:18] [discord] regarding templates and tables - in VE user will still going to fill a template, no table visually (edited) [07:06:25] [discord] regarding templates and tables - in VE user will still going to fill a template, not table visually (edited) [07:07:07] [discord] just creating a table in VE shouldn't be a problem, although I haven't really tried, I'm just used to source coding [07:47:57] [discord] anyone w/ Cosmos who asked for Recent Changes rail to be removed (via Phab or @CosmicAlpha) - did your wikis got it again? I just noticed on one of mine, which uses Cosmos by default [07:49:16] @Legroom: oh whoops, my bad. I moved it to ManageWiki today and forgot to migrate existing. [07:50:01] [discord] oh, okay [07:51:41] Sorry about that! [07:57:09] [discord] not critical 😅 [07:57:10] [discord] I'm simple man, I notice something strange then ask around [10:05:48] Hi everyone [10:18:31] Hello [12:54:13] Hello Gilbert189! If you have any questions, feel free to ask and someone should answer soon. [14:15:16] Hello AndroUser2! If you have any questions, feel free to ask and someone should answer soon. [21:11:22] [discord] I want to add the "Main" template to my wiki so that pages can be written in summary style, but it seems to require some "Parser Functions" extension that I haven't installed yet and can't find in ManageWiki [21:12:04] [discord] ParserFunctions is enabled by default on all wikis hence why it doesn’t appear in ManageWiki [21:13:31] Hello Guest3094! If you have any questions, feel free to ask and someone should answer soon. [21:13:34] [discord] Ah [21:14:45] [discord] Well, I'm getting a bunch of missing module script errors. I must have missed a step somewhere, but I can't tell where [21:15:15] [discord] Lua module errors are unrelated to ParserFunctions. If you show us the specific error then maybe someone can assist [21:15:30] [discord] There are a gazillion of them [21:16:20] [discord] perhaps fixing one issue will fix them all [21:17:00] [discord] https://g3d6.miraheze.org/wiki/Template:Main [21:17:01] [url] Template:Main - Generic 3d6 Roleplaying System | g3d6.miraheze.org [21:17:04] [discord] There we go [21:17:50] [discord] Did you get this template from Wikipedia? [21:18:00] [discord] I thought I got it from TemplateWiki [21:18:28] [discord] Is there any way to check a history of imports? [21:18:34] [discord] Did you just copy and paste the contents of the template or did you import it? [21:19:44] [discord] I imported it [21:20:29] [discord] When you exported the template, did you select the “Include templates” option on the form? [21:21:01] [discord] I thought I did [21:21:46] [discord] Is there any way to roll back the entire wiki and start this process over? [21:22:02] [discord] It’s difficult and honestly I wouldn’t recommend it [21:22:35] [discord] Well shit. Now I've added the template CSS extension, but I'm being told that all of the template CSS pages now need to be changed to have the "sanitized CSS" content model. Is there any way to mass-apply this change quickly?
