[03:48:36] [1/4] Quick question about portable infoboxes. On our old Fandom wiki, for several infoboxes, we have links on a certain parameter that link to redirects. For some reason, on Miraheze wiki, the infobox parameter always displays the name of the destination article instead of the redirect. [03:48:37] [2/4] Example: Fandom on the left, Miraheze on the right. [03:48:37] [3/4] This link is [[Lower Sentient]] --redirect--> [[Classification of sentients]] [03:48:37] https://meta.miraheze.org/wiki/Lower_Sentient https://meta.miraheze.org/wiki/Classification_of_sentients [03:48:37] [4/4] If this is intended behavior, fine, but is there a global fix for this? [03:48:38] [1/2] [03:48:38] [2/2] [04:52:38] it's some setting but I can't remember whoch exactly [04:53:41] not tied w/ infoboxes [06:07:33] can someone remind, are CSS (extension) and TemplateStyles ignored by MobileFrontend too? [06:35:26] You’ll want to turn the displaytitle extension off [13:02:16] [1/3] hey everyone 🙂 [13:02:17] [2/3] i was just wondering about reopening wikis. I submitted a request on the 1st of Aug and have been eagerly waiting since 😅 [13:02:17] [3/3] is there anything i can do to fast-track the process at all? I hope that doesn't sound pushy or anything hahaha [14:54:31] We only have one active Steward right now, so everything apart from wiki requests (I've got that covered) is slow [16:15:44] just void? [16:15:53] Yes [16:20:51] we really need new stewards [18:26:27] [1/3] hello, has anyone here tried enabling the extension Lingo on their wiki? [18:26:28] [2/3] I just enabled it and already created a page of terminologies, but it doesn't seem to be working. [18:26:28] [3/3] Not sure if I should just wait it out for a bit or if I was doing something wrong [18:36:50] oh seems like the extension is not yet listed on our Special:Version page. Does it usually take a while before extensions are enabled? [18:41:25] well, usually from 1 to 5 minutes [18:41:42] I haven't encountered this extension though [18:42:31] fellas, is there another way to create anchor than headers (`=` and ``)? [19:12:45] and another question, man [19:13:23] [1/2] a user can't edit pages of files imported from fandom [19:13:24] [2/2] any idea why or what permission I should add? [19:45:29] @imogen__ if you have to ask, it's been too long [19:45:39] That makes zero sense. Bug [19:46:44] damn [19:47:22] so, any solution? [19:47:47] @theoneandonlylegroom gonna need more info [19:48:04] @imogen__ lingo is disabled. No idea why. No reason is attached. [20:04:43] Could be ? [20:05:35] I backported a fix for lingo [20:05:59] https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/c/mediawiki/extensions/Lingo/+/950080 [20:06:17] https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/c/mediawiki/extensions/Lingo/+/919184 [20:06:42] Guessing it was fixed but we never deployed (doesn't seem like there was tracking either) [20:06:44] Nice @paladox [20:06:51] @orduin not tracking is not fun [20:07:01] Stuff like disabled extensions should have // TXX [20:07:03] I had no idea why we disabled it hence why I didn’t re-enable it [20:07:06] My memory is useless [20:07:08] Suspect it was for that [22:03:54] According to [[mw:Help:Links]] (search for anchor) you can link to divs/spans just by their id [22:03:54] https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Help:Links [22:03:54] [22:07:30] oh, right ... [22:07:39] well, guess that'll do, thanks [22:17:09] can you do ?action=info and see what the protection level says. [22:26:21] no protection, all `Allow all users (infinite)` [23:39:08] [1/2] ahh okay! that's all good, I thought I'd check anyway! [23:39:08] [2/2] thank you 😄
