[02:34:56] I am using the account which created this wiki too, so I don't know what's up. [02:44:32] [1/2] Anyone get this when they try to download their data dump? [02:44:33] [2/2] > This server could not verify that you are authorized to access the document you requested. [02:44:38] I am using the account which created this wiki too, so I don't know what's up. [02:46:07] why you copying people šŸ˜ [02:51:59] wild [02:52:57] yeahh [03:23:12] morning [03:23:17] how it's going? [03:26:29] heyo [03:26:36] things seem fine right now [03:26:45] idk if theres still ddosing going on [04:12:46] idk if theres still ddosing going on [04:17:23] dude stop parroting [04:23:03] thank you [04:29:55] Timed out for one day [04:30:24] bless šŸ™ [04:30:31] Based [04:31:23] Does anyone know of a way to insert a CSS class into the body element without the use of JS? [04:32:29] what exactly you want to do? [04:34:10] Add a CSS class into the body element so that spreadsheets (i.e. Common.css) can apply the corresponding style to pages with the class without having to rely on an enormous list of pages in the stylesheet [04:34:46] (I know there's the CSS extension but (and I think by design) it does not work whatsoever with Url functions) [04:35:27] the usual process is to modify an existing class/id [04:36:24] which element you want to modify, is a part of skin, standard MediaWiki element, or template? [04:37:32] I want to modify the background of the page, i.e. the background of [04:39:31] depending on skin it can be just `body` (w/o `.` or anything since it's a tag on its own) or element(s) w/ a class inside it (this is a case w/ Vector, for example) [04:40:55] Ah, okay [04:41:20] I'll give that a shot, thank you for your help [04:41:57] here's my wiki's example w/ Timeless skin [06:07:52] Hello. here i'm again. Please, which group must a user belong to in order to create pages? thanks for helping me [06:10:33] just Users normally right? don't know if wiki being private affects that [06:25:06] You can check the page Special:ListGroupRights on your wiki to confirm this [06:39:17] you mean on your private wiki? [06:40:10] as I mentioned yesterday, you should give your students "member" role first, I believe they'll be able to create pages by default [06:44:59] yes. you told me. but my student is member and canno't create page [06:47:28] some days ago i setup some rules/privileges to everybody. maybe i wrong. may i roll back privileges of everybody to the default setting? [06:47:48] you mean you set up in permissions admin settings? [06:48:15] check if member group has a right to create pages [07:00:03] yes, i mean permissions admin settings [07:00:35] now i gave member group 'create page' permission. but my student can't create page [07:01:45] wrongly set permissions to groups, and now i'm not able to roll back to initial situazion [07:08:28] I believe only rollback on entire wiki is possible, not sure [07:08:45] you probably need to ask Void anyway [07:09:09] he's steward, a global Miraheze admin [07:34:54] my wiki is empty. so i can roll back. how can i contact Void? [07:37:36] ok. i know how to contact him [07:47:16] no. i am not able to contact Void. May you, please, suggest me how to contact him? [07:49:35] [1/2] just @ him right there [07:49:35] [2/2] but he's probably sleeping now [07:49:41] different time zone [07:49:41] i sent an email [07:49:48] ah ok [07:50:16] thanks Leroom [07:50:25] Legroom [07:50:28] you sent an email to `stewards@miraheze.org`? [07:50:40] no [07:51:06] that's him [07:51:39] anyway, you'll have to wait, he's the only steward right now [07:56:13] guess I need to learn how to set background image in a template w/ CSS variables ... [07:56:26] anyone having an example? [10:19:11] nvm I figured out an alternative lol [12:21:21] any news about DDOS investigation? [12:23:34] You canā€™t use variables inline iirc, it was disabled as a security risk by WMF a couple of versions ago. (I think there were talks about reversing that discussion but Iā€™m not sure) [12:24:12] hmm [12:24:16] Relevant task for that one, Legroom https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T288201 [13:18:16] MacFan4000: thanks for approving the newest consumers. Unfortunately, there seems to be some kind of issue regarding them. My new WMF and other individual wikis/wiki farm keys work fine as expected, but both consumers on Miraheze farm-wide seem to return an invalid signature error. [13:18:55] Not sure what is causing it but given the other farms on IABot are working as expected, I have to conclude I was either given bad keys, or something is amiss with new consumers being created. [15:23:33] miraheze is toooooo slow in China [15:25:04] it is slower than before [15:26:21] i can't use it normally except i use vpn [15:26:53] interesting [15:30:26] Waiting may be the best choice to use it without vpn [15:37:04] I don't see signs of DDOS right now on my side so idk [15:37:52] Not going to jinx it but things look more stable [17:55:51] Guys? I need some OAuth help [17:57:32] MacFan4000: ^ [18:06:10] Not really sure why that is happening [18:06:35] don't have time to look though, and the others have been busy dealing with DDOS attacks [18:07:54] MacFan4000: that's unfortunate. It's holding up a migration we are working on to enhance stability and reliability of IABot and it's UI. [18:09:07] Both consumers are exhibiting the same symptoms too. The old ones work fine. [18:10:16] maybe ddos affected them? try again now? [18:10:42] But the other two farms I've created new consumers on work fine. So it seems like the issue is stemming from how Miraheze is either creating the new consumers, or issuing the keys. [18:11:13] theoneandonlylegroom, I did, still broken. For some reason, I'm getting an invalid signature error. [18:14:39] MacFan4000: actually the old consumers are broken too. [18:14:52] So OAuth itself is borked on Mirahexe. [23:41:32] Skynet: seems like it isnā€™t completely broken, as phabricator login still works [23:44:46] I donā€™t know what wouldā€™ve changed
