[23:25:36] <Jarnsax>	 Sometimes they are published more than once (preprints, reprints, etc) and even if not those are really attributes of the publication (as an event) than the work itself.
[23:26:33] <Jarnsax>	 if anything, the item itself should probably have an 'inception date'
