[05:58:04] Hi all! Is there anyone here who could help with an issue with Cite Q? [05:58:07] https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Template_talk:Cite_Q#Current_misbehaviour_of_publication_dates [06:01:18] It seems like a change was made recently and dates are returned by Module:WikidataIB like this: July' '1987 [06:02:00] Which is obviously incorrect formatting for a citation template [06:02:45] This results in a bad date error [06:02:47] https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Help:CS1_errors#bad_date [07:53:48] The Cite Q formatting bug appears to effect every single instance of it 😬 [07:54:17] Here's a random example of an article that hasn't been touched in months: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Claire_Anderson_(scientist) [07:54:43] Same error: "Check date values in: |publication-date=" [07:56:41] *affect [07:59:14] Here's an example of an article that uses the template a lot: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Younger_Dryas_impact_hypothesis [07:59:21] Not a great look! [09:41:57] Aluxosm: is it fixed now? [09:56:07] anyway, as far as I can tell it is, and the problem seems to have been verdy_p's edits to https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Data:DateI18n.tab which have since been reverted [11:59:50] nikki: It is! Thanks for the link to suspected origin of the bug, that does make sense. [13:14:25] what does one have to do to get listeriabot to run? [13:16:29] in my recollection you could trigger it from the web UI but indeed I cannot find that option anymore [13:16:33] i'm trying to get it to run on https://en.wikisource.org/wiki/User:Inductiveload/Sandbox/wd_dashboard [13:16:54] it says "done" and then "not edited" [13:17:07] ah right [13:17:14] perhaps the query results are empty somehow? [13:17:41] the SPARQL is: [13:17:41] https://query.wikidata.org/#SELECT%20%28wd%3AQ5%20AS%20%3Fitem%29%20%28%22main%20subject%20%28P921%29s%22%20AS%20%3Flegend%29%20%28GROUP_CONCAT%28%3FitemLabel%3B%20SEPARATOR%20%3D%20%22%2C%22%29%20AS%20%3Flabels%29%20%28GROUP_CONCAT%28%3Fct%3B%20SEPARATOR%20%3D%20%22%2C%22%29%20AS%20%3Fvalues%29%20WHERE%20%7B%0A%20%20%7B%0A%20%20%20%20SELECT%20%3Fp%20%28COUNT%28%3Fentry%29%20AS%20%3Fct%29%20WHERE%20%7B%0A%20%20%20%20%20%20%3Fentry%20%28wdt%3A [13:17:41] P31%2F%28wdt%3AP279%2a%29%29%20wd%3AQ191067%3B%0A%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20wdt%3AP1433%20wd%3AQ867541.%0A%20%20%20%20%20%20hint%3APrior%20hint%3ArunFirst%20%22true%22%20.%0A%20%20%20%20%20%20BIND%28IF%28%21%28BOUND%28%3Fmainsubject%29%29%2C%20wd%3AQ22910791%2C%20wd%3AQ24036257%29%20AS%20%3Fp%29%0A%20%20%20%20%7D%0A%20%20%20%20GROUP%20BY%20%3Fp%0A%20%20%20%20ORDER%20BY%20%28%3Fct%29%0A%20%20%7D%0A%20%20SERVICE%20wikibase%3Alabel%20%7B%0A%20%20%2 [13:17:41] 0%20bd%3AserviceParam%20wikibase%3Alanguage%20%22en%22.%0A%20%20%20%20%3Fp%20rdfs%3Alabel%20%3FitemLabel.%0A%20%20%7D%0A%7D [13:17:58] whoops, kinda though that was a short url [13:17:59] inductiveload, put that in https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:UrlShortener [13:18:10] https://w.wiki/42Vd [18:04:48] It would be nice if there was a bot...to search for cases of "reference URL" that are archive.org urls, move the value to "archive URL" and extract the "reference URL" and "archive date" from it. [18:17:35] https://www.wikidata.org/w/index.php?title=Q180865&diff=1494176112&oldid=1494172837 <- that [19:25:15] I've hijacked this, btw... https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q20850509 (as a target for 'has quality') [19:25:49] shown as 'is characterestic of' there [19:29:11] it's kinda silly to say 'owned by' 'privately owned', it mixes entities that are owned by 'private entities', and provate entities that 'own themselves' [19:30:01] you also might know who the owner is, and still want to say it's privately owned [22:11:08] Maybe this is being too picky, but it seems to he a university shouldn't have a 'location'... 'country', 'located in the admin...', 'street address', and 'headquarters location', but not actual 'location', since it's not a physical object. [22:11:25] (it would own things likes campuses with locations) [22:12:16] actually, street adress stuff should probably qualify headquarters location
