[18:15:09] please delete https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q124978450 , made an obvious naming error [18:19:11] Vidariv: You can request deletion on [[WD:RfD]] if it fits the deletion criteria. If this is a typo or similar and still a uniquely identifiable subject (didn't look into it, but it certainly seems like it), it should be fixed or merged instead. [18:20:09] Vidariv: what is the correct name? [18:20:35] it was typo, followed a create item link and "haswbstatement:P31=Q5" tagged along [18:20:49] correct name: Gro Hilde Ramsdal [18:21:24] Vidariv: it has that correct name in English/German/French/Portuguese [18:22:16] thanks, the name was only wrong in Norwegian. It is allright then. Perhaps time to do something else :) [18:22:34] I see what you mean now in the history [18:22:52] Vidariv: you fixed it :) no need to delete [18:23:07] Vidariv: now I will add more statements to this , heh [18:23:31] adds given name, family name, dob as statements [18:24:24] Vidariv: https://www.wikidata.org/w/index.php?title=Q124978450&diff=2105084456&oldid=2105084299 [18:25:18] let's also add https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Gro_Hilde_Ramsdal.jpg [18:25:23] mutante Great, thanks [18:34:22] how do we get google to look at other language wikipedia wikis and not just enwiki when doing a google search? [18:39:06] Usually by setting the interface language/locale to the one of interest. Some search engines (e.g. DuckDuckGo) also have an operator like 'language:de' that can be used to override it. [18:42:26] This. My interface is set up in Spanish, so all searches default to eswiki [18:43:20] and/or which Google URL people use in the first place. f.e. in Germany people would search from google.de and not google.com and get more de.wiki [18:43:45] sometimes switching the TLD to get more relevant results regardless of my own location [18:47:41] I use DuckDuckGo and add something like &kl=de-de (via a bookmark with a keyword) to change the interface language for individual searches.
