[15:08:49] Hi there, [15:08:49] I was wondering if it would be possible to get a vCPU quota increase for the twl project. [15:08:50] https://openstack-browser.toolforge.org/project/twl [15:08:50] We are planning on notifying ~30k editors about their eligibility and are expecting a pretty big increase in concurrent usage. [15:08:51] Because of the various things we are running right now, we can only dedicate 2 vCPUs to our main application instance, which can only service a small number of simultaneous authenticated users. [15:08:51] Right now, I can't test how we could scale with more cores since we only have one vCPU left, but I can saturate the CPU capacity of our similarly-sized staging instance with 25 simultaneous users in load testing. [15:08:52] We seem to be doing fine on storage and memory. [15:08:52] Thanks for the work that you do! [15:10:51] JSherman: hi! please open a task following the instructions on https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/project/view/2880/ [15:12:59] majavah: will do, thanks! [16:33:17] hi cloud team - are there specific permissions needed to be able to ssh into `metricsinfra-controller-1.metricsinfra.eqiad1.wikimedia.cloud`? Im unable to login, get a `Connection closed by UNKNOWN port 65535` error. [16:33:21] Following instructions at: Following instructions at https://wikitech.wikimedia.org/wiki/Portal:Cloud_VPS/Admin/Monitoring#Monitoring_for_Cloud_VPS [16:36:57] oh wait im guessing you would need to be an admin for the metricsinfra project ? [16:45:46] nikkinikk: a regular user should be able to ssh to an instance, admin would be needed to create a new VM [16:45:56] i think [16:46:28] but yea, you would have to be member of the project [16:47:14] check if you see metricsinfra in the dropdown list on the top of horizon.wikimedia.org in a browser [16:48:43] mutante: ah ok ! i dont see `metricsinfra` on my dropdown [16:50:32] nikkinikk: https://wikitech.wikimedia.org/wiki/Help:Accessing_Cloud_VPS_instances#Be_a_member_of_a_Cloud_VPS_project [16:50:44] nikkinikk: here you can find the existing admins https://openstack-browser.toolforge.org/project/metricsinfra ask one of them to add you [16:50:55] that is basically the wmcs team [16:51:57] mutante: will do thank you!
