[05:59:05] Has anyone used Apple shortcuts to ssh toolforge? [10:33:58] Heya, I get 500's when I visit sal.toolforge.org, could someone restart the webservice? [10:39:42] bd808, TheresNoTime: ^ [12:44:32] !log tools.sal restarted webservice, 500s reported and strange php socket errors in error.log [12:44:34] Logged the message at https://wikitech.wikimedia.org/wiki/Nova_Resource:Tools.sal/SAL [19:35:29] Hi. [19:35:48] I'm seeing a lot of 503 errors when working with PAWS [19:35:59] I can't even get it to load currently. [19:36:15] Which means that it's unreliable for an extened PyWikibot query I was running. [19:52:51] Any suggestions on what to check? [19:53:02] Yeah paws is downish more in [19:53:02] https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T336110 [20:01:48] Rook: I also wanted to ask in here about the need for an alternative to PAWS for pywikibot listpages queries that are going to take a while. [20:02:39] ShakespeareFan00: toolforge seems like the right place for a longer running pwb job. Would that work for you? [20:05:58] It might but I don't have access there. [20:07:03] What I'd actually like is some kind of UI where I kwy in what I want listpages to find and then I get an e-mailed link to the results when it's finished :) [20:07:21] I typically pipe the output into sort. [20:07:53] Would it be possible to have some kind of listpages tool on the cloud so I don't have to overload PAWS to do it? [20:09:13] I'm not a developer , I am contributor though so it would need someone else to setup the tool. [20:11:28] You seem to be describing the perfect use case of toolforge :p [20:12:38] Nothing there needs to be elegant, and it has web access. It could support a web UI where you enter things and it processes it and gives you the result, the results could even be generated with sort [20:13:15] You said you're not a developer, though you also used "pipe" and "sort" in sentence, so you'll probably do fine with toolforge. If you want apply for an account and I can approve it [20:15:01] I'll have to think about it... [20:15:06] (see also - https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T231161 ) [20:15:43] If Special:LintErrors had an appropriate filter in-built for Page: namespace I wouldn't need toolforge or PAWS for one of my usecases [20:16:30] @Rook : The thinking behind there being a webUI, was that I was wanting to potentially have a means of sharing specifc searches. [20:16:45] The Cloud has a Global Search for specifc patterns. [20:17:17] Now if there was a way to get that interface to work against a single wiki, with the pywikibot generator/filter options :) [20:17:20] ... [20:31:58] it all sounds possible. you can of course share your output from paws off https://public-paws.wmcloud.org/ though it isn't the nicest interface. You would have significantly more control over presentation and interaction in toolforge, in particular if you want others to be able to run searches that is somewhat beyond paws [20:37:34] Also PAWS should be back, though you might have to log out and back in [23:19:59] !log tools.masto-collab Updated from ae62c97 to 5e4814f [23:20:01] Logged the message at https://wikitech.wikimedia.org/wiki/Nova_Resource:Tools.masto-collab/SAL
