I was looking at https://wikitech.wikimedia.org/wiki/Portal:Data_Services/Admin/Runbooks/Enable_NFS_for_a_project but wasn't sure what part of it is relevant. Is it just setting mount_nfs: true in hiera? [15:22:17] milimetric: hi! yes, setting that on hiera + running puppet once should be enough for VMs [15:22:47] are you getting errors or similar? [15:28:46] milimetric: which project? [15:29:03] nope, just didn't wanna blow something up :) [15:29:18] Not actually sure the project name [15:42:45] 👍 np, let us know if you have any issues ;) [16:59:11] https://replag.toolforge.org/ currently reports 0.0000 00:00:00 for everything. Does it mean that all database issues are fixed or that this tool is broken? [17:00:52] All are fixed [17:37:20] * dcaro off [19:57:03] !status Ok [19:58:01] danilo: Wait what. Which bot implements !status?? [19:59:15] wmopbot, it can do that in any channel it has +t and the topic has a "status:" section [20:00:05] TIL and wow, thanks danilo! [20:02:38] quick Q. So I added mount_nfs: true in my Project Puppet (https://horizon.wikimedia.org/project/puppet/) on the "dashiki" project to test. And then I ran `sudo puppet agent -tv` and that was fine. But /mnt/nfs doesn't have anything in it, should I do something else? [20:03:31] presumably that's because 'dashiki' is not listed on that one magic YAML file in the puppet repository that controls which NFS mounts which projects get [20:04:01] that file being https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/plugins/gitiles/operations/puppet/+/refs/heads/production/modules/labstore/templates/nfs-mounts.yaml.erb [20:08:54] milimetric: what taavi said. you need a patch like https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/c/operations/puppet/+/910760 to go along with the local hiera change. [20:09:18] gooot it, cool, thx [20:09:50] having a task like T335184 for tracking is appreciated too [20:09:51] T335184: Requesting temp access to NFS mount /public/dumps for text-to-speech Cloud VPS project - https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T335184 [20:11:19] (will do) [20:17:43] danilo: you're awesome <3 [20:19:40] TIL https://unmaintained.tech/ and then danilo: that's cool, we should make it work in -operations [21:36:40] legoktm: ^ you are founder in -operations, can you "/cs flags #wikimedia-operations wmopbot +t"? [21:37:42] if wmopbot has +t in the channel, any user with an wikimedia cloak can use it [21:51:24] yes... will need a bit of time to do it through ircservserv so will get to it tonight
