[15:11:52] <bd808>	 MacFan4000: Sorry you had those problems. The possibility of instances breaking like that is one of the reasons that we discourage OS upgrades in favor of new instance builds. Another is that from the OpenStack level we really can't track the change so your project will eventually get false positive notices about needing to migrate to a newer OS version.
