[21:09:21] I'm not exactly sure. I would guess that it wanders [21:10:11] JJMC89: to avoid XY problem answers, what would knowing an IP range for PAWS instances help you with? [21:10:27] investigating the abuse in T379746 [21:10:28] T379746: Cleanup miners - https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T379746 [21:11:12] i'm seeing some accounts being created in PAWS [21:12:14] Prod logging will see PAWS instances mixed with all other Cloud VPS instances. There are no project specific subnets at this time. [21:13:30] I am pretty sure that prod wikis do see "real" internal network addresses for Cloud VPS traffic and not a single SNAT gateway like the public internet sees. [21:14:44] I figured that might be the case. The only reason I noticed it was PAWS is the hostname. [21:17:22] The address for each PAWS project instance should generally be fixed for the life of the instance. We don't track those allocations over time anywhere as far as I know. [21:18:49] there should be reverse DNS for as long as the instance exists, but with historical data there can also be IP reuse from prior instances in any project [21:18:52] That's why I would expect it would wander. So long as the cluster is deployed I would expect the IPs (There should be 5 at present) to remain the same, though when the cluster is rebuilt I would imagine they would be different [21:20:17] Yeah, that seems correct Rook. And I guess we could add that the way Kubernetes is being managed with Magnum in that project the cluster is rebuilt semi-regularly? [21:21:23] Yeah, about every month or two is about how frequently it has cycled
