[17:45:02] Only merge requests. [17:45:45] https://gitlab.wikimedia.org/repos/releng/gitlab-phabricator/-/blob/main/sinks/phabricator.py#L27 [17:46:27] It initially did both pushes and merge requests, but that resulted in too much noise in some circumstances. [17:47:03] https://gitlab.wikimedia.org/repos/releng/gitlab-phabricator/-/merge_requests/8 [17:48:10] ugh. re-pinging Phab for legacy project repo imports would certainly be spammy. [17:48:49] Maybe after gerrit is emptied we can reconsider? [17:51:14] Reasonable. Also, I bet we could add logic to detect the import situation (e.g., more than X commits mentioned in the event) and not notify in those cases. [17:54:51] I have been using feature branches a bit like stacked patches in gerrit. In the repos where I'm doing that right now we are also using ff-only when merging. That combination makes the MR record itself be mostly fluff and not always careful to mention all the bugs that are already mentioned in the contained commit messages. [18:07:11] Sounds legit. In diffusion it was different and that's why I was curious. But I'm already starting to do merge requests instead of direct push to reflect on the task. Thanks for the response!
