[23:33:41] dancy: can you think of a relatively simple way that we can update 671 GitLab account records to have provider=openid_connect data instead of just having the legacy provider=cas3 data? Context is T353176 [23:33:41] T353176: GitLab users with only provider=cas3 identies are not found when Striker attempts to create GitLab repostories - https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T353176 [23:39:08] bd808: Sounds straightforward. Do you want me to "just do it"? [23:41:53] I'm poking around to see what it will take. [23:42:01] dancy: If you feel confident that you can, yes please! The extern_uid value for a provider=openid_connect entry needs to be the Developer account's cn (wikitech username) rather than the uid (shell account name) that is used with provider=cas3. [23:44:44] I was actually pretty surprised that so many accounts seem not to have re-authenticated since we switched providers. [23:51:53] Does it make sense for any account to have the cas3 identity anymore? [23:54:16] dancy: not really. It doesn't hurt anything for it to be in the record, but nothing should be able to use it other than lookups like Striker does to find accounts.
