Happy hacking! :) [11:52:24] Gitlab needs a short maintenance break in 15 minutes [12:01:07] hi! I have a question about gitlab runners. Is it possible / does anyone have experience of running docker-in-docker and using a runner to launch another docker image? I've tried a bunch of things (e.g. adding `docker-dind`to `services`), but I get the message that my docker client isn't able to connect to the docker server [12:08:31] GitLab maintenance done [12:10:25] codders: All docker runners run without eve [12:11:07] elevated privileges. So connecting to the docker client is not possible with the Wikimedia Runners. You would need to setup and register your own [12:14:58] okay. Is there a guide for that? Is setting up a runner something that I would have permissions to do? [12:16:18] beside the upstream docs not afaik: https://docs.gitlab.com/runner/register/#register-with-a-runner-authentication-token [12:16:18] In your own project or your team projects you can add new runners under settings > CI/CD [12:16:44] nice - thanks for the tips!
