[03:36:42] Mmm... How long? I still see that. (re @Ladsgroup: Yeah. It means it got restarted. It takes a bit) [04:29:22] Leaving by ferry. Was an excellent weekend! : https://tools-static.wmflabs.org/bridgebot/4b08b2ba/file_48462.jpg [04:34:18] Ferry gang 😎 I took the Ariadne which departed 17:30, should arrive in Bari in 2½ hours (re @MaartenDammers: Leaving by ferry. Was an excellent weekend!) [04:41:44] You actually went for the rail ferry route? Home tonight in Germany ai guess? Wifi would have been nice to get some more hacking done. [06:03:58] home tomorrow, night train across the Alps tonight [06:04:38] but I've had surprisingly good mobile reception most of the time on the ferry (except for a few hours last evening) [06:39:19] Next year, let's have the hackathon on a boat! [07:07:12] You probably arrived in Bari before me. Which route are you taking? Bari to Bologna by train then Bologna to home? Please pay attention to the many delays on the adriatic line due to heavy rains in Emilia Romagna (re @lucaswerkmeister: Ferry gang 😎 I took the Ariadne which departed 17:30, should arrive in Bari in 2½ hours) [07:08:23] exactly, I already changed from a late train (FR 8830, canceled) to an earlier one (FR 8820, skips a few stops) – hopefully I'll be able to get the costs returned at the ticket counter [07:10:31] From Cesena how they are going to let you continue the trip? Is there a bus connection? (re @lucaswerkmeister: exactly, I already changed from a late train (FR 8830, canceled) to an earlier one (FR 8820, skips a few stops) – hopefully I'll...) [07:11:27] sounds like it, http://www.viaggiatreno.it/infomobilitamobile/home.jsp mentions a bus replacement for that train [07:20:53] Wikimedia Hackathon cruise? 😛 (re @hayify: Next year, let's have the hackathon on a boat!) [07:22:32] Ok, have a safe trip and let me know if you need anything while in Bari! (re @lucaswerkmeister: sounds like it, http://www.viaggiatreno.it/infomobilitamobile/home.jsp mentions a bus replacement for that train) [07:24:54] *Wikimedia Hackathon documentation*: if you attended the hackathon, please add your pictures/slides on Wikimedia Commons, and add your projects or blog post links to the documentation page: https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Wikimedia_Hackathon_2023/Documentation [07:57:42] thanks! I made it to Bari Centrale now. hope your travel works out too! (re @ferdi2005: Ok, have a safe trip and let me know if you need anything while in Bari!) [08:43:09] I think something else may be going on. Health page says it's still down (not "starting") (re @Ladsgroup: Yeah. It means it got restarted. It takes a bit) [08:43:31] Sigh. I go check it [08:46:06] The daemon wasn't starting in codesearch. I force restarted it. It seems it's coming back up [09:01:48] Hmm. Not coming back up. Sigh. I will check it later [09:02:21] I had 4G the whole trip. Hackathon on a boat is becoming more feasible. (re @lucaswerkmeister: but I've had surprisingly good mobile reception most of the time on the ferry (except for a few hours last evening)) [09:06:00] Anyone know someone with a boat big enough for 200 people they could ask nicely for a good deal? [09:07:08] And if anyone needs to be removed from the conference, we can it the pirates style [09:39:08] Just for a day, but... #teamferry! : https://tools-static.wmflabs.org/bridgebot/a0d13fca/file_48466.jpg [09:48:55] Is the video from the Showcase uploaded? [09:49:44] Yes: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nd-kckDEaR0&t=475s [09:49:44] More links on https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Wikimedia_Hackathon_2023/Documentation (re @amire80: Is the video from the Showcase uploaded?) [10:14:28] See you in August in the Hackathon in Wikimania! [18:53:11] We had thought about Wikimania on a boat as far back as 2006, making different stops along the way and doing a meetup at each port of call. (re @hayify: Next year, let's have the hackathon on a boat!) [18:58:35] That sounds like a lot of fun. I have these cruise ships docking near to my house all the time, and one even has a slide on the roof. Sounds like a great place for a hackathon. (re @fuzheado: We had thought about Wikimania on a boat as far back as 2006, making different stops along the way and doing a meetup at each po...) [23:16:47] Just arrived back home in Singapore. Direct flight to Singapore from Athens only operates on certain days. Nothing interesting to report except that a majority of the flight are transiting through Singapore to other destinations. [23:18:23] I got back to Los Angeles last night. Had a variety of little travel annoyances, but worth it since the hackathon was so fun. Was great meeting y'all, please keep in touch :)
