[08:18:29] Would you be able to tell what has happened with the #dateformat (https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Help:Magic_words#dateformat) parser function? I have used it lavishly on Meta in various projects, and now it has stopped working. I am not sure if I can replace it with #time (https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Help:Extension:ParserFunctions#%23time), but I have fixed the broken date dis [08:18:29] plys with that in some places. I cannot locate a single set of parameters for #time that would create localized dates across languages without unnecessary time or timezone as with the option "r". [08:35:49] do you have an example? it seems to work on https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Help:Magic_words#dateformat and if I paste the same examples on meta, it seems to work there too [09:07:19] All the dates via different templates in https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Wiki_Loves_Living_Heritage are affected. There is one date that looks like it should, but it comes from Wikidata. [09:45:24] those dates look fine to me too. how do they display for you, and how are you expecting them to display? [17:14:04] Do they look like this to you? : https://tools-static.wmflabs.org/bridgebot/a74e3b29/file_58500.jpg [17:19:03] Those look like beautifully formatted dates ❤️ (re @Susannaanas: Do they look like this to you?) [17:20:09] To me they look like unformatted ones 😃 [17:21:36] I have formatted them using #time for example in this one : https://tools-static.wmflabs.org/bridgebot/dadaec5b/file_58502.jpg [17:24:18] This one is displayed from Wikidata with Finnish Language settings : https://tools-static.wmflabs.org/bridgebot/dfb0b17f/file_58504.jpg [17:25:02] Same in Spanish : https://tools-static.wmflabs.org/bridgebot/a7ea2e53/file_58505.jpg [18:12:44] https://xkcd.com/1179/ is the one true authority I recognize about date formatting. [18:45:34] Not only perfect, also nice for ordering ans natural reading for a Basque! (re @Susannaanas: Do they look like this to you?) [19:54:18] Snake oil! Perfect template!
