[05:17:31] Hey All, sending a reminder to share your feedback. Survey is open till the 25th. Thank you [05:17:31] https://wikimediafoundation.limesurvey.net/889421?lang=en (re @amandabittaker: Thanks everyone for an amazing Wikimania Hackathon 💛 And thanks for your patience and good humor with the wifi 😄 Please don't ...) [08:12:07] Hey @amandabittaker and Onyinye (👋): out of curiosity, is there any place where the summaries/analyses of past hackathon surveys (Wikimania and otherwise) can be found? [08:12:40] That would be quite a useful resource for those planning future events :) [08:20:39] Thanks for asking! [08:20:40] The summaries/analyses of past hackathon surveys are usually included in the post-event reports (published on diff). We also extract key points and add them to our internal lessons learned register, which we use when planning future events. [08:20:41] Since no two events are the same, gathering feedback after each one gives us valuable perspectives and helps us continuously adapt and improve. [08:33:43] Of course! It would be nice if those diff posts were listed somewhere on-wiki, e.g. in https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Hackathons/Suggestions 😃 [08:35:04] As a part of the planning team for the next wikimania's hackathon, I can only agree that previous feedback is précieuse! [08:36:29] Why are the lessons learned kept internal? Is there something in them making it not possible to publish them on mediawiki or meta? (re @Onyinye: Thanks for asking! [08:36:29] The summaries/analyses of past hackathon surveys are usually included in the post-event reports (published on...) [08:40:18] Didn’t think of that! [08:40:19] I’d work on consolidating them and the lessons learned on this page. [08:40:20] Thanks (re @waldyrious: Of course! We will add them to ☝️ (re @Jan_ainali: Why are the lessons learned kept internal? Is there something in them making it not possible to publish them on mediawiki or met...) [08:40:43] Thanks all!
