[09:42:26] o/ Well met, Perf! It's Friday, which means it's time to scratch around for EventLogging schemas & instruments that haven't been migrated to the Event Platform [09:43:22] I've just stumbled across the MultimediaViewerNetworkPerformance schema, which is documented as being owned by Perf (per https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Schema_talk:MultimediaViewerNetworkPerformance) [09:44:44] It's documented as active but AFAICT it's been disabled for quite some time [09:46:34] While the instrument is disabled, it's still transferred to the client as part of the MultiMedia Viewer payload [09:48:49] Further, there's an MultimediaViewerNetworkPerformance entry in EventLogging's internal schemasInfo map, which is transferred on every pageview [09:49:32] Can the EventLogging schema be deprecated and the instrument be removed? I'm more than happy to submit the patches [10:22:58] Ah! It was disabled circa October 2021 as part of https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/c/operations/mediawiki-config/+/625771 [10:29:08] quite an epic search for a maintainer in the linked task T260582 [10:29:09] T260582: Migrate EventLogging MediaViewer data to Event Platform - https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T260582 [10:32:38] looks like Andrew Otto is the best person to ask [11:40:27] I've also reached out to Gergo Tisza and Mark Holmquist separately
