[09:10:05] Reminder to fill the Engagement and Inclusion survey: https://wikimedia.cultureamp.com/adhoc/wikimedia?code=649ede855203bb003b0c4d40 [09:56:01] lunch [09:56:31] lunch 2 [10:12:22] dcausse: regarding the search update pipeline schema for updates (https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/c/schemas/event/primary/+/856507): We currently differentiate between three updates of existing ES documents, page_refresh, update_fragment, and update_existing. The latter was introduced by Erik and seems like a super operation that subsumes page_refresh and update_fragment. Can we reduce the number of possible operations or [10:12:22] do we infer specific behaviour from page_refresh and update_fragment? What do you think? [12:23:55] pfischer: good question, not sure... reading only the schema I'm unclear on what's the diff between update_fragment & update_existing [12:24:50] I think page_refresh makes sense to be its own operation, at least for now as we don't really know yet what option we're going to choose [12:32:40] looking at the code it appears that we never set "update_fragment" so I guess it was replaced with "update_existing" [13:14:00] o/ [13:34:36] o/ [14:50:26] pfischer, Trey314159 if you have a sec: https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/c/mediawiki/extensions/CirrusSearch/+/941947/ (this is an UBN) [14:50:38] 👀 [14:50:47] looking [14:51:25] Is that related to the train blocker? [14:51:39] yes [14:52:01] +2 [15:00:02] thanks! [15:06:33] disabled cindy for now [16:04:21] workout, back in ~40 [16:42:47] FYI just merging the shellbox change into mwcli and will make a release tonight [16:43:12] also of interest someone just added wdqs, updater and wdqsui to mwcli that will initially work out of the box with the default wiki when wikibase is running [16:43:46] nice! [16:44:31] It's not set up to mount code in / develop wdqs yet, just to have it hooked up to all the other services but i imagine that wouldnt be too hard either, especially given the excellent patch to mwcli yall made for the shellbox stuf [16:49:17] back [17:51:14] lunch, back in ~1h [17:52:53] dcausse: I thought you disabled cindy for that one patch. Did you disable it entirely? It was behaving but then started breaking gIn last night. Sigh. gehel suggested we talk more about cindy in the retro tomorrow. [18:18:39] * dr0ptp4kt wanders back in [18:41:37] back [18:49:45] Trey314159: no, sadly cindy is broken for real, I'll have to look deeper tomorrow [18:50:28] dcausse: no worries. I didn't mean for you to look at it tonight for sure! [20:02:50] dr0ptp4kt login issues, be there in a few
