[07:35:10] hello folks [07:35:22] I have added a silence in alerts.w.o for https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T329951 (all the cassandra warnings) [09:02:55] elukey: thanks for taking care! [09:47:10] dcaro_ooo: can I merge "David Caro: openstack: encapi: create parent directories for files (bed33ed94d)" [09:49:19] maybe arturo will know ^ (merged 35min ago, but not deployed) [09:50:09] XioNoX: yes, please go ahead [09:50:16] thx! [09:50:25] sorry! [09:50:38] no pb! [09:50:47] and done [09:50:54] 👍 [10:10:33] Yep, thanks! Somehow I sshd to the puppet master but got distracted before hitting enter 😅 [15:56:39] Hi, I'm trying to reimage an-presto1001 node to bullseye but the host get stuck due to missing network firmware: The missing firmware files are: bnx2x/bnx2x-e2-7.13.21.0.fw. Seems to be linked to https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=1006500 and the need to add those files on our pxe installer. I would need some help here to know how I can deal with this (issue already seen and solved? modifying the initrd which will [15:56:39] require a change of firmware-bnx2x_20210315-3_all.deb...?) [15:57:55] moritzm: does it ring a bell? ^^^ [15:59:43] that's a known issue, bug is here: https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T308106 [16:00:25] this is fixed with the latest bookworm installer which includes the firmware by default, but for bullseye I don't think we can fix it [16:00:43] https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/c/operations/puppet/+/784259/ was meant to address this, but didn't work as expected [16:01:28] so unfortunatley for bullseye installations with that type of NIC we need to ack the prompt over the serial console [16:04:43] ack moritzm I should have looked at phabricador first, would have same me some time investigating the issue :( at least I've learn things around our TFTP setup [16:14:41] this is a bit of an oddball, it's specific to a rather small set of servers and also specific to bullseye, but fortunately the new d-i installer for bookworm fixes this for good [16:15:29] alpha2 release came out over the weekend: https://lists.debian.org/debian-devel-announce/2023/02/msg00005.html
