[07:57:14] Hey! Is there anyone who could review and merge https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/c/wikimedia/irc/ircservserv-config/+/860620 ? [08:08:52] legoktm: ^ [08:09:33] James_F: ^ [09:26:17] do we have an updated map of the people geolocated to the different datacenters? It doesn't have to be very exact, I just want to provide some easier to understand wording without using WMF specific terms [09:28:49] mostly trying to understand countries sent to esams vs countries sent to drmrs [09:29:43] jynus: https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/plugins/gitiles/operations/dns/+/refs/heads/master/geo-maps :D [09:29:50] https://github.com/wikimedia/operations-dns/blob/master/geo-maps [09:29:52] eh [09:29:59] nice, thank you a lot [09:30:13] I will add those links to the traffic routing wiki pages [09:34:30] that was very useful, now I can understand why bd users noticed the codfw app server issues the first [15:40:29] moritzm: what's the state of Stretch on production HW? Are we down to just the swift servers? [15:45:01] andrewbogott: and thumbor https://w.wiki/6NUE [15:45:16] and it's just two swift machines [15:45:24] two of the swift frontends (pending wrapup of the rclone work) [15:45:33] and thumbor, which is being moved to k8s currently [15:45:38] and labstore1004/1005 [15:46:19] ok :) We will see who's last, I think labstores are pretty close. [15:46:50] ok :-) [15:47:37] The Debian archive folks plan to remove stretch from the mirrors around 2023-03-18 (https://lists.debian.org/debian-devel-announce/2023/02/msg00004.html) [16:16:20] gehel: Merged. [16:22:01] James_F: thanks ! [19:15:14] soon I am going to switch people.wikimedia.org from eqiad to codfw. But first I will rsync all your public_html dirs so everything that is online now will still be online after and no surprises. but since contents have drifted.. I also have to backup the current dir on the backend that is currently not serving https. And the actual home outside public_html won't be touched. will send an email about [19:15:20] it once it happened. [19:15:36] and then would like to make the rsync fully automatic so they cant drift anymore [23:53:29] people.wikimedia.org has been switched to codfw. all the public_html dirs have been synced and made identical. anything outside public_html is untouched. [23:54:08] (I also added a test to httpbb to check the "SRE map" is behind IDP and you can see it works here: https://people.wikimedia.org/~cdanis/sremap/) [23:54:41] contents of public_html on the passive one before syncing are backed up and will end up in Bacula next week [23:57:35] the new host name to upload to is people2002 (peopleweb.discovery.wmnet to look it up). if you are new and have never heard of this.. any shell user can upload files to a public_html in their home dir there and they are public.
