I thought maybe a "template" channel, or a private [21:18:43] channel (are those allowed to be created?) would be good, but couldn't find one.  Would it make sense for us to join #wikimedia-tech for the launch, ,just to dicuss this launch? Or, would this be the wrong venue for something like this? (Needless to say, anyone here could join in if they wanted to.) [21:19:15] Oh, this is an en-wiki template. [21:19:50] *Oops*, unexpected interruption; will be back in an hour +/-.  sorry... [22:55:19] back [23:02:11] Guest16: tbh I'd just use #wikipedia-en [23:02:20] And give your heads up there [23:04:09] When you change a high use template... There's not much you can do [23:09:56] Ah, thanks for the link to #wikipedia-en [23:11:40] Reedy; thanks; we can minimize impact by having a few watchers running a smoke test, and a pre-written rollback, but I agree, basically. On the plus side, it wil take a few minutes for the server caches to clear, so if we rollback within a few minutes probably no one will see it. [23:11:41] that said, I think I'll follow the link RhinosF1 suggested, and try there.  Thanks, all!
