[04:33:54] https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/torvalds/linux.git/commit/?id=10a29eb658b3 wondering if something like this would be nice to have for MediaWiki [05:06:12] legoktm: https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T302440 suggests existing implementations for Gerrit/Gitlab . We do have a policy https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Code_Stewardship but I think it is more or less on freeze or lacks a process to make it actively worked on [09:13:21] is phabricator down for anyone else? "Invalid argument supplied for foreach()" [09:14:02] hmm. gitlab is down for maintenance, maybe the newly added gitlab integration doesn't handle that gracefully? [09:35:42] i went ahead and filled out the paperwork: https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T335747 [14:31:11] https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/maniphest/task/edit/form/81/ [14:31:11] Is it normal? [14:31:11] This form ("Create Task with a Due Date") has been disabled, so it can not be used. [14:32:51] (I don't care, I removed that link from my favorites, but probably that caused some rot links from README of projects with "File a Task" link) [15:13:23] Uhm. I thought there was a generic form with "Visible To" visible and usable. But I'm no longer able to find that from this list [15:13:23] https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/transactions/editengine/maniphest.task/query/all/ [15:14:20] https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/maniphest/task/edit/form/3/ [15:16:09] Thanks <3 [15:17:10] hi all - maps tech guy here.. people may have heard of "openstreetmap" .. and if so, also the strong and stable mapnik rendering engine.. I was just told yesterday that mapnik was "sold" to Mapbox, who implemented "mapnik-JS" ? [15:17:29] then that became maplibre? or how does that go ... [15:17:44] @taavi can you see who can "See" that form? [15:17:44] I have an account that is not able to see that [15:17:51] And it's a TrustedContributor [15:18:38] .. fast-forward to 2023, and I am told that " planetiler and maplibre-gl" are the preferred rendering engines now? [15:18:59] Valerioboz[m]: I think it's for everyone who has access to spaces or other private tasks, like Policy-Admins or something like that [15:19:03] Ouch these View permissions are quite advanced [15:19:03] https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/transactions/new/PHID-XACT-FORM-6wdqeinlpehfn6r/ [18:05:47] darkblueb: what's your point? [18:53:47] Nemo_bis: what happened to mapnik-js ? is it used in some way now? [18:54:15] ref OSS linux [19:43:28] darkblueb: you can for example look at the dependencies of puremaps https://github.com/rinigus/pure-maps#dependencies [19:52:58] maybe - that's a QT widget [19:53:20] I had not hear of mapnik-JS before yesterday.. so I ask [19:53:49] mapnik is the "rendering engine" .. it draws the contents from data [19:54:07] so curious to know what happened after mapnik-JS [19:54:38] .. a tile-generator, not a tile-client [20:08:49] The SyntaxHighlight extension on Wikimedia wikis now has support for highlighting wikitext! This was a feature request going all the way back to 2011 (T29828). Diskdance added the necessary code to the Pygments project to do the highlighting in April. Yesterday legoktm did the deploy to put that new version of Pygments into use. In the middle I got to help by making some changes to Shellbox that should make it easier for us to keep updating [20:08:49] Pygments versions in the future. [20:08:50] T29828: Add "wikitext" as language in Pygments - https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T29828 [20:14:02] bd808: \o/ [20:16:01] Lots of on-wiki work can start now too for folks who are interested in wiki gnoming. See T334137 for some ideas of what can be looked for and fixed. [20:16:02] T334137: Post deploy tasks for "Add 'wikitext' as language in Pygments" - https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T334137 [21:20:42] [[Tech]]; Sneel1991; /* What's ideal steps for Upgrading */ new section; https://meta.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?diff=24972069&oldid=24966788&rcid=27230721 [21:22:11] [[Tech]]; Sneel1991; /* = */; https://meta.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?diff=24972070&oldid=24972069&rcid=27230722 [22:17:52] [[Tech]]; ~aanzx; /* What's ideal steps for Upgrading */ Reply; https://meta.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?diff=24972156&oldid=24972070&rcid=27230947 [23:12:36] perhaps we get a port of tilelite tomorrow for #osgeolive (mapnik-JS)
