[07:14:06] The Phorge community lands at FOSDEM 2024 https://fosdem.org/2024/schedule/event/fosdem-2024-3610-unpack-phabricator-welcome-phorge-forking-the-opinionated-open-source-project-manager/ https://fosstodon.org/@phorge/111770175185699748 [08:06:55] Krinkle: fun. :) You may have met Valerio last year at lunch [09:42:42] https://i.imgur.com/3K00w3u.png tired of enabling this after every refresh or everytime i click to a page.. anyone knows what may have caused this to happen about 2 days back?...figure its something do with with .css of vector2022 [10:07:00] stemoc: does it still happen if you add ?safemode=1 to the end of the url? [10:09:26] yep [10:15:34] That sounds like the popups extension, and the text matches the text of the i18n message "popups-settings-option-page-description" but i also don't see any recent changes or code that triggers this (but i only gave a cursorily look) [10:16:35] Maybe try filing a bug at phab [10:26:14] thats why i use enwiki logged out, cause popups is on by default via meta and i prefer this page preview ones on enwiki and because of central logging, i have blocked cookies on enwiki via the browser for 6 years now, wasn't an issue, this happened out of the blue about 2 days back, i even got rid of my adblock addon thinking it was the culprit, it wasn't lol, but while sniffing a page i see it enables the page preview by doing something here http [10:26:15] s://en.wikipedia.org/w/load.php?lang=en&modules=codex-styles&skin=vector-2022&version=aqzee so figured it was a vector2022 issue [10:35:55] stemoc: Why not just disable popups in normal preferences on enwiki while turning it on generally on meta? [10:36:57] stemoc: it is very unlikely that that url is turning on popups. Its CSS, it can't turn on popups. It might be CSS used by the popups feature, in which case, loading of popups might be delayed until that url loads, but the url itself isn't turning on popups [10:37:41] I mean, the fact you are blocking cookies may be related, if the state of whether popups are enabled are being stored in cookies [10:41:49] yea but i have them blocked for years now, no issue, just happened on its own a few days back, i even cleared cached, deleted enwiki data and cookies , even logged in (which is something i haven't done in nearly 6 years), not sure disabling popups on enwiki will fix it, issue seems to be page preview related at this point, kinda odd cause i tested it on waterfox and opera logged out, it was working, so maybe firefox related..
