[08:30:23] bvibber: I think part of my screencast woes, is it seems like the webm transcodes are at a very low quality level. The 720p webm transcode is at 31kbps (Compared to the mp4 vp9 720p transcode which is 2 Mbps) and looks much more reasonable. Is there a reason that TMH would make transcodes with that low a bitrate? [08:31:59] wow I'm amazed that this is viewable at all. the 240p transcode of 2 minute video is only 85kb. That's like less than the size of a normal single image [09:53:39] [[Tech]]; Mohammed Qays; /* numbers in Wikidata */ new section; https://meta.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?diff=27338115&oldid=27332064&rcid=32263696 [10:44:34] alright, my screencast woes seem to be that the screencast software marked the file as being 1000fps, which somehow messed up the quality of the transcode. I don't know what to make of that, if its a buggy file, or a totally legit file being handled wrong. In any case, using ffmpeg to convert it to 30fps fixed everything (Although that raises the question of why transcodes are broken, when all i [10:44:40] did was essentially use ffmpeg to transcode to 30fps which should be the exact same thing, but my ffmpeg kept quality high) [14:39:00] [[Tech]]; Matěj Suchánek; /* numbers in Wikidata */ Reply; https://meta.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?diff=27339491&oldid=27338115&rcid=32265960 [14:49:44] [[Tech]]; Mohammed Qays; /* numbers in Wikidata */ Reply; https://meta.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?diff=27339530&oldid=27339491&rcid=32266032 [17:01:01] [[Tech]]; Matěj Suchánek; /* numbers in Wikidata */ Reply; https://meta.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?diff=27339984&oldid=27339530&rcid=32266930 [17:28:31] [[Tech]]; Mohammed Qays; /* numbers in Wikidata */ Reply; https://meta.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?diff=27340132&oldid=27339984&rcid=32267136
