[07:49:48] btullis hi... any idea when enwiki dumps will be available for this month? they seem to take longer to generate than in the past [12:29:11] Headbomb_: b.tullis is ooo this week. The dumps started this morning instead of August 1st, because of a mistake of mine. IIRC the enwiki dumps take about 10-15 days to fully complete [12:29:18] they are in motion now [12:29:23] sorry for the inconvenience [13:51:03] brouberol thanks for the update [14:03:32] np! I'm also planning to deploy a change that will/should ensure that https://dumps.wikimedia.org/backup-index.html gets updated as soon as possible [14:57:07] ook, the change went through and the dump status page is getting updated again [14:57:27] (https://gitlab.wikimedia.org/repos/data-engineering/airflow-dags/-/merge_requests/2468 if you're interested) [17:01:50] brouberol that's awesome, i was debating complaining about the length but figured I'd stfu because we still have XML dumps and I don't want to be the guy annoying devs into forcing deprecation even more [18:09:13] haha don't worry about that. Ben (b.tullis) and I have been involved in improving the tooling around scheduling the dump jobs in the last ~2 years. Last month, these jobs were migrated to a dedicated airflow instances, and I broke a couple of things in the process, hence the rocky start of the month [18:09:26] things should be smoother next month hopefully, and on time [18:21:47] please do complain if something's amiss
