[07:21:34] Hi. Are you looking for people with some Wikifunctions experience? I have experience with most other Wikimedia projects but besides lurking here I don't know much about Wikifunctions but I'd love to help if I can. (re @Aishwarya: Hi folks! For those who don’t know me, I’m Aishwarya Vardhana. I joined the Abstract Wikipedia team in April of this year to lead product design.  [07:21:34] I’ve been designing the function editor for Wikifunctions and am looking for volunteers to test some potential changes!  [07:21:36] I would love to know what you think of the interface, and if it’s understandable, enjoyable, and inviting. I’ll need 20-30 minutes of your time, to screen-share what you are looking at and ask you some questions. I can meet with you in Zoom or Google Meet, at your schedule, anytime this or next week. [07:21:37] Please email me at mailto:avardhana@wikimedia.org if you’re able to help. Thank you!) [21:19:53] I will be honoured to help. (re @Aishwarya: Hi folks! [21:23:08] In this example, you have given an example of how to represent the same Arabic Lexeme with diacritics and without diacritics. I have two questions: [21:23:09] 1. Should "Shaddah" be removed in non-diacritized spellings. [21:23:10] 2. Does Lexicographical Data allow two lexemes to have the same spelling. (re @mahir256: by "Wikidata senses" I'm referring to the senses on an object such as L52273) [21:25:06] Hi there! I’m looking for anyone who is interested and has some experience with technical interfaces! I would love to have you test Antoine, let me message you separately. Thanks! (re @ADssx: Hi. I’ll message you separately, thank you so much :) (re @Csisc1994: I will be honoured to help.) [21:26:19] 1. That depends; are there places in text without diacritics where retaining the shaddah is customary? 2. Yes, it's certainly possible to do this; different parts of speech or different etymologies (even if spelt the same) warrant different lexemes. (re @Csisc1994: In this example, you have given an example of how to represent the same Arabic Lexeme with diacritics and without diacritics. I have two questions: [21:26:20] 1. Yes, there are several verbs where Shaddah is added to mean the exaggeration. (re @mahir256: 1. That depends; are there places in text without diacritics where retaining the shaddah is customary? 2. (re @Aishwarya: Amazing! [21:37:08] In that case, sure, keep the shadda in the non-diacriticized form (re @Csisc1994: فعل: do [21:37:09] فعّل: enable) [21:39:36] Excellent. (re @mahir256: In that case, sure, keep the shadda in the non-diacriticized form) [21:39:42] I will do this.
