[11:02:53] I’ve added alternative implementations of Z28439 but there are arguably two distinct functions here: value for object’s K1 key and 1st (non-Z1K1) value from object. I’d favour the second interpretation for general use, leaving the K1 case to be fulfilled by Z20165. (Similarly for Z20165, but I’m not adding alternative implementations of that at this stage.) [11:03:37] Z28442 (re @wikilinksbot: Z28439 – value of first key [11:03:37] Z20165 – value by key index) [11:28:35] I needed a unary function for the validation step in Z16573. That's why Z20165 didn't already do the trick. I'm not sure I totally appreciate the proposed distinct functions, but feel free to make another if it's helpful. (re @Al: I’ve added alternative implementations of Z28439 but there are arguably two distinct functions here: value for object’s K1 key a...) [11:52:12] You might have used Z27430 with Z2K2, I suppose, or Z24049. In any event, the distinction I’m making is more theoretical rather than practical, currently, so I’m happy sticking with two unary functions rather than four. I’m not aware of any optional K1s or K2s other than Z14K2, and Z803 fails for a Z14 anyway. (re @u99of9: I needed a unary function for the validation step [11:52:12] i [11:52:12] n Z16573. [13:49:08] There ought to be a version where the comparison function can be specified, but that’s nearly just Z24049 again 🤔 (re @u99of9: Oh yes Z27430 is a good idea - that would have avoided some effort!) [18:03:05] Hi all, a brief note that tomorrow at 13:00 UTC, our @NicolasVIGNERON will host a lightning talk about Wikifunctions (https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Celtic_Knot_Conference_2025/Programme) at this year's Celtic Knot Conference!
